Meet The Team

Our team at Made it to Medicine is made up of dedicated tutors who are passionate about guiding students through every step of their medical school journey.

Maddie Wood-Field

Maddie, our co-founder, brings extensive experience in the tutoring and education sector. As a dedicated A-Level and GCSE tutor, she excels in creating tailored sessions that meet the unique needs of each student. Maddie’s approach focuses on building strong foundational knowledge, delivering engaging and informative sessions, and developing effective long-term revision techniques. Having achieved 4/4 offers for medicine herself, she can provide well-rounded support to prospective medical students and takes pride in being familiar with entrance criteria to all of the UK medical schools.
In addition to her tutoring expertise, Maddie has a solid background in the widening participation sector.

As the first in her family to attend university and the first to pursue a medical degree, she understands the unique challenges faced by students from similar backgrounds. Maddie actively volunteers with several widening access to medicine organisations, offering free sessions to aspiring medical students. Her commitment to education and widening participation underscores her dedication to supporting students in achieving their academic and career goals.

Hannah White

I’m Hannah, a dedicated educator and co-founder of Made it to Medicine. I have a wealth of experience in tutoring students from diverse backgrounds and am deeply passionate about making medical education accessible to all. Over the years, I have successfully helped countless students achieve their academic goals at GCSE and A-Level. I have also taught at prestigious universities, including summer schools at Oxford university, where I honed my skills in guiding aspiring medical students towards their goals.

My commitment to teaching goes beyond academics as I strive to inspire confidence and a love for learning in every student I teach. My passion for teaching combined with my in-depth understanding of the subjects, ensures that students not only excel in their exams but also develop a lasting appreciation for the subjects they study.

Hannah Burton

Hi! My name is Hannah and I am a 3rd year medical student at the University of Exeter. I am super passionate about empowering everybody to reach their full potential and achieve whatever goals they set out for themselves!

As the first person to attend University in my family, I believe that with the right support anyone can achieve their target grades and a place at their dream University, regardless of their background.

I received 4/4 medicine offers and since then have taken on voluntary roles in regular teaching sessions with more junior medical students. I also have experience in guiding prospective students through their applications, working with a charity providing support to applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Indigo Proctor

Hi! My name is Indigo and I am a third year medical student at the University of Exeter. I have experience of tutoring GCSE and A level biology, chemistry and maths for more than 2 years. I’ve also worked with students in preparation for their UCAT and medical school interviews. Through regular sessions including a combination of theory and exam preparation, my students have seen significant improvement in their grades. I really enjoy tutoring and can’t wait to meet you.

Kathryn Raj

Kathryn is a fourth-year medical student with a distinguished record of success, having secured interview offers from all her applications. She possesses extensive experience in conducting mock panel and Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs) for prospective medical students. Additionally, Kathryn is skilled in reviewing personal statements for medical school applications and coaching students on strategic application processes within the UK.

Her expertise extends to tutoring A-Level and GCSE Biology and Chemistry, where she has consistently achieved excellent results with her students. Kathryn’s tutoring experience includes both one-on-one and group formats, demonstrating her versatility and effectiveness as an educator.

Emma Rowland

Hi, I’m Emma a third year medical student at Exeter! I love getting to teach and have previously volunteered with a programme helping students get into medicine. I’ve got a wealth of experience, from reading personal statements to giving personalised UCAT advice.

I received interview offers from all of my applications and scored a UCAT in the top 2% having started in the bottom 10%. This means I understand how challenging it can be to get into medicine, but I also have lots of tips and tricks to make it easier! I truly love medicine and cannot imagine doing anything else, I’m so looking forward to helping people get started with this incredible career!

Tom Murray

Hi! My name is Tom and I am a third-year medical student at the University of Exeter. Coming from a disadvantaged background, I understand how challenging medicine applications can be, I am keen to see university and medicine become more inclusive and accessible to everyone!

In the past I have helped students prepare for medical school interviews as well as tutored both GCSE and A-levels. I also have experience with personal statements and interview preparation. I have seen firsthand how much my students can improve in a short space of time. Medicine is an amazing career and I cannot wait to help as many people get into the profession as possible!
